El ALmendro I

A penthouse apartment was proposed for the existing building El Almendro, located in the Miramar area in Santurce. The added weight was an important structural issue, to resolve that, a steel structure with Concretek pre-fabricated panels was developed. The use of glass doors and windows allows the unit to receive great natural ventilation and illumination while offering great views of the San Juan cityscape. The apartment program consists of one bedroom, two and a half bathrooms, a kitchen, and an open dining and living area.
